Coverage depends on the notification your payment app sends and on your phone’s background settings. MoneyTing does not guarantee every device or every payment alert will announce.

The counter problem

A payment notification is easy to miss

At a busy counter your hands are packing, pouring, or counting change. The phone may be charging nearby — and a quiet banner is easy to overlook.

  • You stop to check the screen Every payment means unlocking the phone while customers wait.
  • The phone is not always in your hand It may be charging near the counter, in a pocket, or under the day’s clutter.
  • “Paid, bhai” needs a clear signal Without an audible cue you are trusting a screenshot or asking to see it again.

How it works

Three steps to a spoken payment alert

MoneyTing does not connect to your bank and does not move money. It turns supported incoming payment notifications into a voice announcement on your phone. It does not independently verify bank settlement.

  1. 1

A customer pays you on UPI

They pay from their usual app — for example PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or another UPI app. That app posts its usual “money received” notification.

  2. 2

    MoneyTing recognises a supported notification

With Notification Access granted, MoneyTing watches for incoming payment notifications from UPI apps on the device and matches supported received-payment formats locally.

  3. 3

    Your phone announces the amount

The amount is spoken aloud using an available TTS voice you configured, and the payment can be saved to a history list on that phone.

Why MoneyTing

Features that matter at the counter

Verified product capabilities — not a bank app, not a payment processor.

Audible payment alerts

Supported incoming payment notifications are announced aloud using your phone’s text-to-speech voice.

Configurable announcements

Choose compact or detailed styles, and adjust speech speed, pitch, and volume in Settings.

Supported notification matching

With Notification Access, MoneyTing matches supported received-payment formats from UPI apps on the device.

Local payment history

Recent received payments are listed on the phone — up to 500 records, clearable anytime.

Business-name announcements

Optionally add your shop name and include it in spoken alerts. Pause announcements during a rush and resume with one tap.

Language support

11 Indian languages — via your phone’s TTS

Pick a language in MoneyTing. Spoken audio comes from the text-to-speech engine and voices installed on that Android device — MoneyTing does not ship 11 separate voice engines.

  • English
  • हिन्दी
  • ગુજરાતી
  • বাংলা
  • मराठी
  • தமிழ்
  • తెలుగు
  • ಕನ್ನಡ
  • മലയാളം
  • ਪੰਜਾਬੀ
  • اردو

Voice quality and availability vary by manufacturer and Android version. If a language is missing, install or enable it in your phone’s Text-to-speech settings, then re-test inside MoneyTing.

Questions

Everything people ask before installing

Is MoneyTing really free?

Yes. MoneyTing is free to use, and the app does not ask for card or payment details. Signed-in screens may show a sponsored banner from a business we work with.

Do I need to register, and where?

Registration happens inside the Android app: enter your phone number, then the one-time code we send by SMS. There is nothing to sign up for on this website.

Why does the app need Notification Access?

Android only shares notifications with an app that has been granted Notification Access. MoneyTing needs it to spot received-payment notifications and read the amount. Unrelated notifications are not announced as payments and are not added to payment history.

Which UPI apps and banks are supported?

With Notification Access, MoneyTing reads payment notifications from UPI apps on your phone — including common apps such as PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm — and matches incoming payment formats on the device. Exact coverage still depends on the notification text your app sends and on your phone’s background settings, so we do not promise every format will announce.

Which languages can MoneyTing announce in?

You can choose English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, or Urdu in the app. Spoken audio uses your phone’s text-to-speech voices, so download or enable the matching voice in Android settings if needed.

Does MoneyTing verify that money has settled in my bank?

No. MoneyTing reads payment notifications on your phone and speaks them aloud. It does not independently verify bank settlement, balances, or official bank confirmations.

Does MoneyTing see my bank account or UPI PIN?

No. There is no bank connection and no PIN entry. MoneyTing reads notifications on the phone and never asks for banking credentials.

Will it announce payments when my screen is off?

Usually yes, as long as the app is allowed to run in the background. Android battery optimisation, power-saving modes, and force-stopping the app can delay or prevent alerts.

Does MoneyTing work on every Android phone?

MoneyTing is built for Android phones that can grant Notification Access and run text-to-speech. Manufacturer battery rules, missing TTS voices, and unusual notification formats can affect results, so we do not claim universal device compatibility.
